Daniel Expresses Shock Over Ondo Ex-Commissioner’s Death
The former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel has expressed
complete shock over the death of former Information Commissioner and a
chieftain of the Labour Party, LP, in Ondo State, Mr. Ranti Akerele.
Akerele, renowned broadcaster and pioneer Information Commissioner in
Governor Olusegun Mimiko’s cabinet died in his residence in Ondo State
last week at the age of 53.
Daniel, who described Akerele as a hard working man said he is deeply
saddened by the sudden death of such a kind, warm and brilliant
person. “I want to share my heartfelt condolences with the good people
of Ondo State at the sudden death of the former Commissioner for
Information. My thoughts and prayers are with the Ondo State
Government, most especially Gov. Olusegun Mimiko to be strong and
accept my most sincere condolences at this sad time”.
Daniel then urged the people of Ondo State to take solace in the fact
that as a worthy son, Akerele in his life, served in different
capacities and contributed in no small measure to the development of
