Our attention has been drawn to newspapers publications on the Motion Exparte granted to some suspended members of the Labour Party in Ogun State by a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos.

Without prejudice, it is our considered opinion that the applicants in the case are under suspension from the party going by letters from the National Secretariat in Abuja for their bad conducts. On this note, we hereby  dissociate ourselves from this development. They are not representing us in any form.
Our legal team have received the Court processes  and have immediately commenced action on it. Appropriately, they shall respond to all the issues raised in therein.

We wish to state that the general public is being misinformed by the said publications as such orders were never granted. Rather, the order granted was that the statusquo  must be maintained pending the hearing of the substantive suit.

Be that as it may, we want to seize this medium to allay the fears of our teeming members not to be distracted by this ploy. They should continue with the registration exercise which has been very successful. We have visited all Local governments and the turn out has been massive and impressive.
We are resolute in our collective resolve to build a strong and virile political party where discipline would reign supreme. It is clear from what is on ground now that the Labour Party is poised to take over governance in Ogun State come 2015. Lastly, we must not fail to inform our people that the actions of these people are  being sponsored by some fifth columnists who do not mean well for our party and the state.
