The founder of Daar Communications, Chief Raymond Dokpesi has described Otunba Gbenga Daniel, one of his co-contestants in the race for national chairmanship of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as a natural achiever and hard worker who goes out with all his might to accomplish his aspiration.

Chief Dokpesi said this during a courtesy visit to Otunba Gbenga Daniel’s Campaign office in Abuja on Wednesday.

In his words, Chief Dokpesi stated that there is nothing stopping Otunba Daniel from becoming the National Chairman of PDP. “You can be sure that when OGD decides to do something, he goes out with all his might”, he said.

Speaking on the exemplary traits of Otunba Daniel, he acknowledged the general acceptability of Otunba Daniel in all parts of the country as a true Nigerian. “How can you want anything in the politics of Ogun State, Southwest, East and South without OGD? Even if you go to the North, there is no way Gbenga Daniel will hold microphone and campaign for you without adding value. He is just that good.”

On the perceived threat to existing relationship between them prior to their interest in the chairmanship of the party, Chief Dokpesi said people should forget that their ambition may mar their friendship. He said: “We have been together for over 35years, it is not this Chairmanship aspiration that will divide us. That is why I keep telling the younger ones not to cast aspersions on any of us in the name of supporting another aspirant. We are united in our bid to lead the party. ”

In his response, Otunba Gbenga Daniel stated that Chief Raymond Dokpesi is a loyal party man who, like himself, has sacrificed a lot for the PDP. “My brother, Raymond has been a very consistent advocate of the PDP. At a time we suffered a lot from the media but he stood strong by the party. What he has demonstrated today is that the race for Chairmanship is not a do or die affair. It also demonstrates the harmony within the contestants portraying the PDP as one big family”.

Otunba Daniel also reiterated the fact that the PDP parades an array of eminent personalities as we can see in all the aspirants who are united in their resolve to turn around the fortunes of the party. “All of us are qualified to lead the party but our prayer is that the best candidate emerges at the December Convention to lead the party to victory in subsequent elections and take over power in 2019
