Following a Federal High court judgment earlier today, the acting Chief Judge of Adamawa state has sworn in Bala Ngilari as governor of the state.
The federal government had ordered that the acting governor, Umar Fintiri vacates office and Bala Ngilari sworn in as governor.
Ngilari, in August had prayed the court to swear him in as governor of the state following the impeachment of former Governor Murtala Nyako.
He had posited that he did not formally resign from office as deputy governor as stipulated by the constitution and prayed the court to order the Chief judge of the state to swear him in as governor.
Meanwhile, the Attorney General of the State has ordered following directives from President Goodluck that all state apparatus be handed over to Ngilari.
