The equities market closed on a negative note on Thursday in the second trading day of the week, with the major market indicators declining.
The market capitalisation of the listed equities fell by N140bn to close at N13.396tn, down from N13.536tn Wednesday’s close.
Also, the Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index declined by 432 basis points from 41,995.02 basis points to close at 40,572.25 basis points.
In the sub-sector, investors exchanged 698.841 million shares valued at N6.068bn in 4,833 deals.
Mobil led the gainers, rising by N2.92 to close at N176 per share Conoil followed closely with a gain of N2.46 gain to close at N51,82 per share, while Champion rose by N1.39 to close at N14.99 per share.
On the other hand, Forteoil Led the loser’s chart by N7.45 to close at N217.55 followed by Dangcem losing N4.65 to close at N215.15 per share while Total lost N4.5 to finish at N175.5 per share
