I was misquoted on Obasanjo –Atiku

Former vice president and All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential aspirant, Atiku Abubakar has denied ever saying he does not need the support of former President Olusegun Obasanjo to become President of Nigeria.
In a statement signed by the Coordinator, Atiku Media Office, Garba Shehu, Atiku said the statement credited to him does not capture the import of what he said during his media interaction with journalists at the unveiling of his draft policy document.

He noted that what he said was that Obasanjo has the right to endorse anybody he wants to endorse.

He said the beauty of democracy is that people have the right to endorse anybody that they want, noting that the final choice is with the electorate and that is the most important thing.
